| Kuttiady dam is located in Kozhikode District of Kerala State. The Kuttiady reservoir is impounded by constructing a dam across Kuttiady River at Kakkayam. The water from the reservoir is conveyed through a water conductor system to the two power stations of Kuttiyadi Hydro Electric Project (KHEP) with an installed capacity of 225 MW (3 x 25 +3 x 50 ) located at Kakkayam valley. The tail water is again utilized at Kuttiady Tail Race Project – 3×1.25 MW and Kakkayam Small HEP ( 2x 1.5 MW). After generating power, the water is released to downstream Peruvannamuzhy reservoir. |
